It is our belief and focus that all the vehicles competing directly resemble as closely as reasonably possible the "gas class" vehicles of the mid 60's - the so called "Gasser Wars" relived.
Geezer's Bloopers
Aw shit, that's gonna cost me?As we get older we suffer from something called brain farts. Most of the time these don't have a big effect on our lifes, unless there is a race car involved then it's "Aw shit, that's gonna cost me?"

'40 Chevy Camero
Gary & Brian Blasey started out their year by blowing up the engine in the 1940 Chevy Camero about 2 weeks before the race at Gateway. They dug the old motor out of the back of the garage & got it ready in time to make the race at Gateway. Well that didn't turn out well. Seems the pistons were not happy in their present location so they decided to come out the side of the block & pan to get a better look at what was going on. Not a good 2 weeks. - * Aw shit, that's gonna cost me?
Tavoletti / Gearhart A/Gas Willys
Randy decided he needed more HP so he could turn those huge tires he has under the back of his '41 Willys a little better. Now mind you it already had enough HP to spit the tile off and out of the trailer floor when he backs his car out. Not to mention that it was already faster than the fastest A/Gas Willys of the 60's. To accomplish the task of increasing the HP he figured he could just give it more boost from the blower. So Randy changed the pullies around on the blower, now it's like 21% overdrive. Most mechanics know that air by itself will not burn and you need to add fuel. There is also a ratio of the amount of fuel and air that is needed. Too much fuel and you're to rich. To little fuel and your going to run lean. Running rich isn't to bad it will slow you down but unless it is really rich it won't do much harm. Now run it lean and it will go like a bat out of hell for awhile then strange things happen like the pistons start melting. Why because the fuel also has a cooling effect. So what happens when you overdrive the blower 21% and don't have enough carburetion to feed it? Well in Randy's case it burnt 3 pistons. * Aw shit, that's gonna cost me?
'48 Austin Bass Boat
Went up to Union Grove drag way to do some testing and run the Hunnert car heads up deal. I made one pass with the new carb on it slowed down 3 tenths not real happy about that. Well at about 1000 ft it gets real hairy and the car doesn't like it. I put the old carb back on and headed up for first round of the show. The car is sounding real nice hittin' a good lick. I leave the line every thing is going good 1st gear, 2nd gear & high gear. Its pulling real hard I'm on a good pass. The 1000 ft is coming up the car becomes ill handling the front tire sounded like I locked the brakes up. It started to shake very bad. I started stabbing the brakes. I guess a little to much, I broke a braided steel front brakes hose. I crossed the center line just into the shut off area. I got out looked around and here comes a car headed at me. They let 2 more pairs of cars run before they figured out I was still there. The car bounced so hard that it bent the drag link, hairpin, steering stabilizer, axle, broke a front shock. The divider in the grill fell out plus the rubber under the radiator. Also cracked some of the fiberglass work on the frontend. I just about rolled it I'm very lucky I didn't..So I may be done for the rest of the season if I cant find a axle. * Aw shit, that's gonna cost me?

They put wheelie bars on racecars for a reason. A few do it because it looks cool and it makes people think that your car must be really fast as it has wheelie bars or because your car has so much HP and bite that when you launch it instead of straight it will try and raise the front wheels in the air. This looks cools but in reality is a waste of power. That is where the wheelie bars come in they will hit the track & keep the front wheels on the track where they belong. In some cases you have to tie the wheelie bars up to get in and out of the trailer, mainly out. We all know that Ron is getting older & the senior moments come more often. He was at the Willys Homerun in NY and because of the weather it was in and out of the trailer all day. Finally the weather gave in and racing resumed. Ron goes to the line and forgets to untie his wheelie bars and in his defense no one else noticed that they were tied up. Pre stage, stage, yellow, & green. Now with all the HP that The Bull has up goes the front wheels & they didn't set down well at all. Now Ron needs a bunch of front suspension parts' new driver's seat as Ron's ass sucked a hole in the old one. Remember Ron when the wheelie bars are tied up they aren't very effective * Aw shit, that's gonna cost me?
